Grouper Piccata

What you'll need: (2-4 people)

  • Fillet of Grouper

  • 6 lemons

  • 1 Stick of Butter

  • Capers

  • 1 yellow onion (medium)

  • 1/4 clove of garlic

  • olive oil

  • Seasoning

  • Flour

  • Eggs (egg wash)

  • Breadcrumbs

  • Pasta of your choosing



Sautee Diced yellow onion and Garlic in 1/2 stick of butter and the juice of 4 lemons until onions are soft and translucent. Simmer until mixture thickens on low setting. Stir frequently


Start Cooking Pasta according to instructions.


While Sauce is simmering, Season Grouper Fillet with Lemon pepper, old bay, salt, black pepper, and a dash of cayanne.


Toss Grouper Fillet in Flour, then dip in eggwash, finally roll in bread crumbs. (Check Pasta if done take of burner add a little olive oil and salt and set aside)


Pour Sauce into Bowl and let rest. Using the Same Pan use the other half stick of butter with a little olive oil on a medium heat add breaded fish fillets. Once Fillets begin to cook pour lemon/butter sauce around the breaded fish (save a little sauce). (2-3 minutes). let Cook together on the same side for another 4-5 minutes, flip and let cook the other side for 6-8 minutes. (Should be nice and brown on both sides of fillets)


Add the Saved Sauce to the bottom of each bowls, then adding your cooked pasta. Add your breaded fish, splitting the sauce from the pan between the bowls. Finally squeezing the remainder of lemons to your bowls.
